About Us

According to the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), "Whether you are new to food allergy or facing a new milestone in your child's life, meeting other families who are in the same situation and sharing experiences and support can be so helpful. More importantly, you understand that you are not alone."

Our Mission

To share information and experiences about food allergies with Richmond Area adults, caregivers and families.

The Richmond Food Allergy Support Group was founded in 2000 by Jeanette Katona to help local parents who have children with food allergies.  Jeanette and her son both have food allergies.  They have worked at local, state, and national levels to create safe environments for people with food allergies.
